Small SUVs has won the hearts of most Americans. Famous auto brands like Ford, Honda, Nissan, Subaru and Toyota were hailed as outstanding SUV's this year based on the review made by Consumer Reports.

Consumer Reports made a list of Americas Most Favorite SUVs. Take at look at why these cars stand out from the rest.

SUVs became popular to Americans because of its' spacious cargo room, parking space friendly, elevate driving position, easy cabin access, and increased ground clearance. The best part is that all small SUVs are available with all-wheel drive.

Ford Escape. There's a myth that small SUVs has a poor performance compared to cars but the Ford Escape is definitely known for its powerful engine. According to Drive AU, it has a 1.5L 4cylinder Turbo engine with 134 Kw at 6000 rpm Torque. It also has a 6 speed Sports Automatic transmission. It's one of Americas Favorite SUV because this 5-seater vehicle has good specs and even has a "five-star crash test rating."

Honda CRV. After the reinvention of the 2017 Honda CR-V, Honda' February sales record skyrocketed. According to Torque News, the American companies' sales increased dramatically. The source also added that this small SUV gained 4.3 percent on its sales of 110,882 unit in February alone and it continues to acquire more sales every day.

 

Subaru Forester. Aside from being part of consumer Reports American Favorite SUV this vehicle is also named as the Utility Vehicle of the Year by the Automobile journalist Association of Canada (AJAC) as mentioned in Torque News. With a value of $22, 595 this car absolutely offer great value, reliability, safety and a sure win in the cargo department.

Nissan Rouge. The driving website mentioned that since the Nissan Rouge's release in Canada in 2008, it became the best-selling car in the country. Even after the following generations were released the Nissan model consistently retained its sale. Following the 2017 model release, the Americans also supported Nissan best-selling small SUV.

Toyota Rav 4. This car has continuously impressed Americans because of its style and performance. At the same, its affordability also added to its popularity.
