2017 Pontiac Trans AM Firebird And Firebird Bandit: The Modern Evolution

Pontiac was a known automobile brand. It was the division of General Motors until it went in a financial crisis and had the same path with Oldsmobile. The manufacturing and marketing of cars under the brand name discontinue since then. But today, the brand image is having a big comeback in the US market with their 2017 Pontiac Trans AM Firebird.

One may expect the interior of this model to come with heated seats, hands-free capabilities, a navigation system, power aided steering, rearview camera, and an eye-catching glass roof. For the safety measures, this car also lines-up their equipment with some of the latest models. They have the stability control, advanced airbags, anti-lock braking, and the brake assist.

The part of the car that buyers first lay their eyes onto is in the exterior. This year's Pontiac is said to show some befitting round shape and also headlights that have been upgraded to keep up with the new trends. The change made has increased the width that will be placed right next to the grille.

Another change made on this 2017 Pontiac Trans AM Firebird is its side sills. A modified panel badge at the front of the car is also new. It all made the look like the 2017 edition of the Firebird Bandit.

As what was said, this Trans AM Firebird will run with a powerful V6 3.7-liter engine that produces a horsepower up to 305 along with torque in 280 lb-ft. As for the second version Firebird, it is powered by a V8 5.0-liter engine that can generate a horsepower up to 420 and torque in 390 lb-ft.

Meanwhile, with an addition of a supercharger, the high engine of the 2017 Pontiac Trans AM Firebird specifically the bandit trim boosts the horsepower up to 662 and a torque of 631 lb-ft. On the other hand, this car is custom made so buyers can choose the engine they much prefer. As for the production, there are only 77 units available, and some are already sold. This car is said to be only available to purchase in Trans AM Depot.
