Land Rover Defender Returns In 2018; Supreme Off-Road Capabilities Are Expected According To Experts

Back in 2016, it was announced that Land Rover Defender returns in 2018 and that definitely made car enthusiasts eagerly waiting. Since times are inching towards the big reveal, many wonder what the new Defender is capable of offering. Many anticipate how it is going to be like in totality and industry experts have weighed in their thoughts.

According to Road and Track, Dr. Ralph Speth of Jaguar-Land Rover confirmed back in September 2016 that the new Defender will launch in 2018. It will be patterned after the successful Land Rover Discovery.

It was officially announced that the all-new Land Rover Defender would use an aluminum architecture similar to the new Land Rover Discovery, Ranger Rover, and Range Rover Sport. It was also confirmed that the Land Rover Defender will be considerably different compared to any Land Rover range. It will boast of extreme and supreme off-roading capabilities which is considered the best of its kind upon official release.

Dr. Ralph Speth also confidently said that the new Defender will be an icon, no questions about it. He continued by saying that the architecture will contain a lot of elements that are different from other aluminum-based vehicles.

Eagerly awaiting the 2018 launch of Land Rover Defender, Land Rover still has a lot of challenges ahead of it. Defender has been an icon for the longest time and fans would want to see the new Defender not veering too far from the original design. However, staying loyal to its design while adding the latest technological advancements may prove to be challenging.

As added by Auto Express, as the Land Rover Defender returns in 2018, Land Rover has suffered a lot of delays as they tried to have the latest version of the classic 4x4 to production. It seemed that it was challenging to find a good balance of the Defender delivering the ultimate off-roading capabilities while trying to earn money.

Dr. Ralph Speth also said it is widely tipped to make its official debut 2018 at the earliest. However, he made sure that the new Land Rover Defender is definitely coming. They are definitely taking their time in coming up with an authentic successor of the predecessor.

Having said that means dedicating a lot of time in coming up with the perfect version as the Land Rover Defender returns in 2018. The ultimate goal is to deliver such an authentic version of the original Defender which promises to sweep everyone off their feet upon official release. Any official news on the upcoming Land Rover Defender will immediately be reported.
