The 2018 DS7 Crossback SUV has been unveiled and reviewed prior to its debut at the upcoming 2017 Geneva Motor Show. The new SUV comes with a luxurious cabin, autonomous functions, and amazing light effects.

The upcoming 2018 DS7 Crossback is the first SUV from DS. The new SUV features autonomous functions, plug-in powertrain and unique suspension.

This bespoke model is expected to compete with the Range Rover Evoque and Audi Q5. However, the project director Xavier Savignon admitted, "We're not at the same level as premium rivals in terms of profile, so we have to do something different."

Furthermore, it seems that DS is dedicated to standing out from the conventional models in the market. Xavier Savignon shared their vision is to be perfect and still unique from the rest.

The stunning SUV is built to achieve the company's goal to provide a driving experience that will give the same feel when the passengers are relaxing in the comfort of their living room. Xavier Savignon emphasized they are valuing comfort and they desire to offer the new SUV with relaxing interiors.

The 2018 DS7 Crossback will sport the same comfy leather seats with the DS 3 and DS 5. The comfy seats also offer five massage functions.

With regard to cabins, the automaker offers four different themes. A 12-inch screen can also be spotted surrounded with a huge analog clock.

The new DS 7 offers driving modes such as Sport, Comfort or Normal. Through the Connected Pilot system, the new SUV makes adaptive cruise control.

Underneath, the new DS 7 Crossover relies on the brand's legendary hydro-pneumatic suspension. It also comes with the intelligent Active Scan system that reads the road scenario and gives a signal to the adaptive dampers on whether to turn soft or stiff as the condition requires for, AutoExpress reported.

The new five-seater SUV also boasts of its amazing lights. The vehicle sports unique headlamps which turn purple upon unlocking and then emits a grand showcase of lights at start-up. This new lighting system on the 2018 DS7 Crossback was created by Italian lighting specialist Magnetti Marelli. Car Magazine has witnessed this display of light and described it to be an outstanding display of theater light feel on the roadside.
