Mercedes AMG C63 S’s Engine Earns High Points In High-End Sedan Survey

The new Mercedes AMG C63 S is gaining popularity after it received a top-notch review for its engine. The said survey also pitted Mercedes's AMG C63 with 3 other high-end sedans - the BMW M3, the Cadillac ATS-V, and the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio.

Motoring Trend's high-end sports sedan survey compared the four previously mentioned sports sedan according to several factors, several of which is speed, engine performance, interiors, etc. It's not really important to mention the plus points of the others for this article but it is good to note that the AMG C63 excelled in terms of its "engine."

BMW Blog quoted a Car and Driver survey about AMG C63 being compared with its top cars. It cited that the AMG's 4 liters, twin turbo V8 engine are one powerful machine, capable of a sleek and powerful drive and harmonious noise. The Car and Driver was impressed with the AMG C63's very stylish interior which is exhibited by no other car in the survey.

However, there are a few reports that the AMG C63 did poorly in its steering department; the brake pedals are also not as smooth and efficient as the other cars in the survey as well. Its high-mounted front seats also do not provide a better view of the front, a minor fault for this still gorgeous car. The real-wheel drive of this car also gives it a strong 503 hp.

Meanwhile, to celebrate its 50th anniversary, Mercedes-AMG will announce three different variants at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show. Among the three new models is a Mercedes C63 Cabriolet Ocean Blue Edition, reported recently by Motor Trend! This model will only come out with 150 units globally. The Deep Blue Ocean color will be featured in its soft top-down hood, wheel caps, bumper, and clock.
