OnePlus 5 Updates: Android 7.0 Nougat, Snapdragon 835 and More Features

There are reports that are doing rounds that the OnePlus phone is ditching one number in the sequence. Instead of OnePlus 4, the company is in the process of releasing the OnePlus 5.

From the data that is available, it is revealed that OnePlus 5 will be powered by Snapdragon 835. In terms of storage capacity, the phone boasts of 6GB of RAM paired with 64GB of internal storage. It is reported that this can be expanded further. It is said that apart from the 64GB variant, OnePlus 5 might also come with a 256GB storage option.

The cherry on top of the cake is the camera of the mobile. The key highlight is the setup of the camera. OnePlus 5 boasts of a 23MP rear camera. In the front, OnePlus 5 fits a 16MP selfie shooter. It is reported that the camera is the best that the OnePlus range ever had. The imagery capability and performance of the camera is said to match professional standards, reported Gizbot.

The OnePlus 5 is reported to don a complete glass body. It will also be sporting a dual edge display. It is said that the phone will have a wireless charging capability. OnePlus 5 is also going to include a USB Type-C port, fast charging capability. It is fitted with a 4,000mAh battery.

It is unclear as to why the company has skipped one number in the series. Many believe that this might be because of a superstition that the number 4 is not a lucky one, reported Phone Arena.

OnePlus has not announced the making or the release of the OnePlus 5. Also, we are still not sure if OnePlus 4 is completely ditched. The arrival of OnePlus 5 can be confirmed only after the company officially states it. However, based on the reports, it can be said that the phone is worth the wait.
