2017 Ducati Monster 1200 S: Exceptional Comfort, Better Handling, Enhanced Execution

Ducati unveils its 2017 Monster 1200 S, which accompanies a rundown of upgrades including a shorter tail section and slimmer tank. The superbike is not quite redesigned but it is a brand new motorcycle with enhanced execution, handling, comfort, and looks.

The 2017 Ducati Monster 1200 S is equipped with a completely customizable Ohlins. Both the front and back suspension are combined with lighter weight Y-formed three spoked wheels. It also features a Brembo caliper brake to new Pirelli Diablo Corsa III tires, as noted by the Cycle World.

The motorbike comes with a cornering ABS, which a nine-level Ducati wheel control function and an updated thin film transistor display. It is also incorporated by a current three riding modes. It has a slimmer and marginally smaller fuel tank, an updated tail unit and new front light with daytime running light.

The 2017 Ducati Monster 1200 S has new pointers and switchgear that offers aesthetic and rider accommodation. It has been redesigned with a new shorter swing arm and subframe adding to a shorter wheelbase. It offers a fully adjustable 43-millimeter Kayaba fork and rebound adjustable shocks. 

According to Motorcycle, the bike is powered by 150 horsepower at 9250 rpm. It owns a 93.1 feet pounds of torque at 7750 rpm. It is operated with a liquid cooled 1198.4cc Testastretta 11 degree L-twin engine, which has been given new throttle body inlet channels.

The adoption of this new fog light has prompted to the improvement of another instrument panel support, which is joined to the handlebar risers. This gives the front end an outwardly lighter look, which the repositioning of the markers perfectly matches with the fog light itself. In addition, the cruiser highlights new switchgear.

The 2017 Ducati Monster 1200 S is available in two variants, Ducati Red and Liquid Concrete Gray. Ducati Red comes with a red casing and black wheels, while the new Liquid Concrete Gray runs with black frame and black wheels. The bike is already in dealerships starting last January 2017.
