2017 22B Subaru Impreza Recreated, The Classic Still Runs With Impressive Performance

The Subaru Impreza has been around for more than 50 years in the industry. In the memorandum, the fans created a limited-run WRX STU that was shaped from the 22B model, the original inspiration of model for years.

To revive the 22B as a coupe. The carmaker had a hard time incorporating the idea since the standard Subaru Impreza had a standard four-door sedan. However, the engineers were able to install the huge fenders and an adjustable rear wing to make the model look like the classic one. In fact, vents on the hood were added to make it look more classical and purchasable, reported Motor 1.

Installed with turbo motors and an AWD system, the vehicle had a more aggressive front fascia which completed the 2017 22B recreation of the Subaru Impreza. In fact, the color scheme of the vehicle was quite similar to the original.

At present, Jalopnik reported that initially, the Subaru Impreza was a two-door 2.5RS which were known for its exterior design. However, how the model turns out to be a simple sedan but can reach impressive performance levels. Its functionality was even linked to the legendary Toyota Corolla which had worse mileage compared to the Subaru. Moreover, how the vehicle could swerve sideways and how the responses swiftly adjust to the driver, has made the model celebrate its 50th year with a successful track.

The new and improved 2017 22B Subaru Impreza was customized to commemorate the brand's celebration of its 50th anniversary. Although the four-door sedan was made to look like a 2-door classic coupe, its impressive performance, handling, and AWD system impressed enthusiasts and proved why the model had stayed so long in the automobile industry.
