2017 Mitsubishi Mirage G4: Class Leading MPG

Mainstream budget cars have come a long way in recent years. They are well built, easy to drive, and reasonably comfortable. Is Mitsubishi Mirage G4 any of these things?

According to Boston, Mitsubishi Mirage G4 is a plain, basic car that’s easy to park and no one wants to steal. The car will get you anywhere without breaking the bank. The powertrain has 10-year/100,000-mile warranty, the corrosion warranty is 7 years/100,000 miles, and the roadside assist is 5 years/unlimited miles. These might be the biggest numbers associated with Mirage G4. The car has 2 trim levels. Base ES and better-equipped SE. The SE car comes with an MSRP of $16,995. It has 1.2-liter 3 cylinder engine that sends power to the front wheels via a continuously variable transmission. It has 78 horsepower and 74 pound-feet of torque. It will get you anywhere you want with outstanding fuel economy.

Mitsubishi Mirage G4 needs 11 seconds from 0-60mph. EPA rates the Mirage G4 at 35 miles per gallon in the city, 42 miles per gallon on the highway, and 37 miles per gallon combined. The car comes with 3 presets Normal, Eco, or Sport. The car weighs 2,194 pounds. It features a rearview camera, rear window defroster, variable speed wipers, and cruise control. Lane-keeping assist is not available, which forces the driver to make constant corrections of the steering. The inside materials are basic. The only leather used was on the steering wheel, which had a comfortable configuration. Dash and door panels are hard plastic. The driver’s seat comes with three adjustments: back and forward, up and down, and manual lumbar dial.

Car And Driver reported that Mirage G4 is equipped with standard automatic climate control, power windows, proximity-sensing remote locks, push-button ignition, 15-inch aluminum wheels, cruise control, audio controls on the steering wheel, and a backup camera. It also comes with a 6.5-inch display for the infotainment system. The car doesn’t have navigation, but it is Apple CarPlay and Android Auto Compatible. Bottom line is that the Mitsubishi Mirage G4 is a decent car for its value.
