NBA Trade Deadline Draws Near; 5 Players On Focus By Other Teams

As the NBA trade deadline draws closer, we often see teams trying to make any last minute changes to their sides to make the team strong. This is the last chance that the teams in the NBA will get to make those changes that might actually help them win. One such blockbuster dead happened as DeMarcus Cousins was traded off to the Pelicans.

In fact, the DeMarcus Cousins deal might have its ripple effects as it will affect the other teams who will try to relieve the last minute trade tensions by pulling off big deals such as this. What the teams decide in these last few hours is what could shape the face of NBA for the season and perhaps for the next.

After this deal, there were several other players who are now on the radar. Here is a look through of the players who have a chance to be a part of some deal before the deadline creeps up on all the NBA teams, reported NBA.

Carmelo Anthony is always been talked about when it comes to NBA trade. The New York Knicks might make some big move involving Anthony before the trade deadline. Added to the complication is the player's no-trade clause. There are other teams who are on the lookout for Anthony too. Maybe it is time for Anthony to waive his no-trade clause.

Jahlil Okafor and the Philadelphia 76ers have kept everyone waiting for some sort of a deal to materialize. To find a right team for the big young player to fit in is definitely a task as all the teams are trying to make a balance with their rosters. Sixers will also consider the injury situation of Joel Embiid to make any deal, reported Yahoo.

Jimmy Butler has been an integral part of Chicago Bulls for a while now. However, it is no secret that the team is thinking of giving a fresh outlook for the franchise. Butler is the person whom many other teams like Celtics will want in their team to improve their team outlook. If Chicago Bulls do really aim for a reboot, they can start with Butler.

Paul George, who is now a part of Indiana Pacers might be someone to look out for. The player has taken a new form and is playing really well even after the injury that affected him badly a couple of years back. However, George has not signed a long-term extension and the team might as well capitalize by trading him for adding other fresh players.

Reggie Jackson of the Detroit Pistons did not actually gel well with the team as the team was in look out for a player who will use the point guard role to boost the team. Though Jackson is not good in leading the team with his talent, many teams also view him as a very good backup.

With the deadline looming closer the teams are doing their last-minute analysis. As they continue their last-minute scramble, it will be interesting to see which player lands on which team.
