The 2017 Range Rover Velar has been developed since the late 1960s. The latest model will be larger than the prevailing Evoque, smaller than the Sport, and essentially different that the Jaguar F-Pace. Its most significant feature, however, is the humongous sunroof which was captured by spies from a bird's eye view.

Although the interiors were not apparent from the top view, the captured image showed that the 2017 Range Rover Velar has a maximum of four doors, has an updated infotainment system, and has a see-through sunroof, reported Jalopnik. On top of which, its basic shape and size have changed into a squat-like vehicle that did not seem to be built for off-road driving. However, it was speculated that fancy traction can be expected with respect to the vehicle's control faculties by the time it enters the market.

In other news, CNET reported that the 2017 Range Rover Velar was designed to accommodate the trending cope-like rear end. The incorporation of which was said to allow the model to compete with the Porsche Macan, Mercedez-Benz GLC-Class Coupe, and the BMW M4 which are all the top-performing vehicles in the market segment. 

Furthermore, the design was said to have a visually reductive approach that would make the design simpler than its predecessors. It will likewise have straight and clean lines that improve its smaller physique. 

The name was saif to be based upon the brand's prototypes that harbored the "veil or cover" designs, an English phrase of the Velar tag. Since the vehicle embodied these features, along with its updated sunroof, the production model is labeled as an exotic and mysterious vehicle.

The exact specifications of the upcoming 2017 Range Rover Valer will be announced this coming March 1 at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show. Will the reduction of its size and other exterior changes make it a tough competitor in its market segment?
