Power Rangers Inspired-RPG Will Be Coming To PS4 And Xbox One This May!

Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc., an arcade, mobile and home video game publisher based in Japan, has announced that the super sentai-influenced tactical RPG game, Chroma Squad, will be coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in May 2017. Behold Studios effort was revered for years and was going to be released on the PS Vita, but plans for that version were canceled.

Chroma Squad is a tactical role-playing video game created by Brazilian development team called Behold Studious. Power Ranger TV shows also influence the game, and Kickstarter successfully funded the game's development.

The game was first released on April 30, 2015, for Microsoft Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X. Digital distribution is offered via Steam and GOG.com.

The game sees players take control of a team that consists of five stunt actors who have quit their jobs to create their Power Rangers-esque television show. Players will need to purchase and upgrade equipment, build giant mechs, and craft weapons to engage in battles against many monsters, all for the goal of getting high TV viewer ratings.

Basing on the official Power Ranger news, the new movie adaption, casting Dacre Montgomery, Bryan Cranston, and Naomi Scott just received a new trailer. The movie is produced by Lionsgate, which is behind the big-name franchises that include The Hunger Games and John Wick, and many others.

Meanwhile, a multiplayer fighting game called Power Rangers: Legacy Wars is also coming out with the movie for mobile devices this coming March. Mighty Power Rangers: Mega Battle is a different game that was launched in January for Xbox One, PS4 and PC without fanfare.

Chroma Squad release is fairly good since the Power Rangers reboot movie will arrive in late March. So the genre as a whole will be in people's mind and the game will definitely find a whole new audience on consoles. The game will cost $15 to download and international pricing is currently unknown.
