NVIDIA GTX 1080 Ti Set to Unveil at GDC 2017, Available in Late March, and May Have 12 GB?

The Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti is expected to unveil at this month's Gamer Developers Conference. The new GPU will likely be available by late March and may have 12 GB RAM.

GDC 2017. Digital Trends believes that Nvidia will flash the new GPU later this week. This will be at the company's "GeForce GTX Gaming Celebration" on Feb. 28 at the Gamers Developer Conference. The event will start at 6:30 PM in downtown San Francisco.

Similarly, AMD will also be launching their new Vega GPU at the GDC 2017. They will be hosting their own Capsaicin & Cream live streaming event.

Official Launch. Nordic Hardware via Guru3D believes that the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti won't be available until the end of March. According to sources, the website may have gotten their information from unnamed Taiwanese graphics card makers who informed them that the cards won't officially release until next month. Guru3D believes that the official release date will be sometime around Mar. 20 to 23.

The new Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti will feature Pascal Architecture and GP102 GPU. It will have an alleged 10.8 TFLOPS performance and a rumored 10GB of memory. On the other hand, the AMD Vega GPU will have 12.5 TFLOPS and 8 GB of HBM2 memory. Moreover, it will likely have a base price tag of around $900, considering that the current GTX 1080 is $600 while the superior Titan X goes for $1,200.

Halo Wars 2: 12 GB RAM. Elsewhere, Game Debate reported that the new Halo Wars 2 video game is already available in Europe. The back of the physical box reveals a set of Ultra system requirements. The game recommends the currently unannounced GeForce GTX 1080 Ti.

Moreover, a closer look reveals that the official tag for the recommended GPU states "Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti 12GB or AMD R9 Fury X 4GB." Does this mean that the new GPU may have 12 GB and not the 10 GB that was earlier announced?

The new Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti may be seen as early as this month and could hit the shelves by late March. If all of the other leaks are true, it will be very powerful and will go head to head with the AMD Vega. Which GPU will be more powerful? Share your thoughts and comments below.
