2017 BMW X4: Also Referred As A Sport Activity Coupe

X4 is produced by the German automobile manufacturer BMW. Their 2017 BMW X4 is an excellent choice for buyers who are not really into the traditional SUVs.

This version has the same components with the X3 from the controls, the design of the cabin, base engine, other features, as well as in the mechanical part. The most visible difference between the two is the roofline. X4 roofline is on a slant position which made it look like a coupe.

This luxury SUV is a four-door vehicle that offers space for five passengers. It is available in two trim levels, the xDrive28i and the M40i which is based on the choice of engines. Both of this trims has a standard automatic transmission in eight-speed with an all-wheel drive.

2017 BMW X4 in xDrive28i comes with a 2.0 liter four cylinder turbocharged engine that offers a horsepower up to 240 and torque to 260 lb-ft. The stop and start system is also standard on this level.

In a performance test conducted, in a duration of 6.3 seconds, the car was able to accelerate to 60 mph. In a segment, it is the quickest for a base engine. An expected EPA estimation stands in 20 mpg in the city, 28 mpg on the highway, and a combined 23 mpg.

For a faster X4, M40i is the choice. It runs a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-6 engine that produces a horsepower up to 360 and a torque of 343 lb-ft. According to the company, it can hit 60 mph in just 4.7 seconds which stands out and has a good eye on the Porsche Macan.

This 2017 X4 also includes safety features such as the front-seat side and full-length side curtain airbags, antilock disc brakes, stability and traction control, active head restraints, and rear parking sensors. In addition, BMW Assist eCall is also now standard with emergency assistance button and an automatic collision alert.
