2018 Ford Mustang GT Trumps Current 435-Hp For Added 20-Hp? Highly Possible According To Experts

The 2018 Ford Mustang GT is expected to make it big in more ways than one. It is highly anticipated as it is reported to even be more powerful that the current ones available in the market. It is expected to be the fastest vehicle of its kind upon official release.

According to Road and Track, Ford has been reserved in terms of sharing information about the upcoming car. However, there was a simple tweet that somehow gave away a vital and important clue as to how much power the 2018 Ford Mustang GT is capable of producing.

The tweet in question happens to be pointing out Easter eggs in an image of the 2018 Mustang's new digital gauge cluster. An analysis was derived from what was shown which brought experts to a conclusion that the upcoming Mustang may be capable of producing a 455-horsepower! A simple clue which equates to insane power.

Currently, the 5.0-liter V-8 in the Mustang GT produces 435-horsepower. This is definitely powerful as it is. However, since the 2018 Ford Mustang GT is expected to get both direct and port-fuel-injection, this then translates to higher compression ratio. With this in place, it is highly likely than an additional 20-horsepower can easily be achieved.

At present, Ford also sells an aftermarket calibration pack available for Mustang GT. It uses a combination of software tuning and GT350 hardware. For an additional investment, the Mustang GT can even have more powerful from its current 435-horsepower to 472.

According to Mike Levine, Ford spokesperson, the company will be sharing more details about the 2018 Ford Mustang GT as it approaches launch date. Until then, sports car enthusiasts are definitely on their toes eagerly awaiting the power this beast of a vehicle is really capable of producing.

As added by Net Car Show, 2018 Ford Mustang GT will also come packed with Ford driver-assist technology. Drivers definitely will be driving with ease as it comes with Pre-Collision Assist with pedestrian detection, distance alert, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist and much more.

A 10-speed automatic transmission which is available with EcoBoost and V-8 engines make this one of the best of its kind. however, it doesn't stop there. It has a wide-ratio span and optimized gear spacing is responsible for incredible power for acceleration which then translates to significantly better responsiveness and performance.
