2017 Nissan Pathfinder is technology driven with more power and a new upgrade of its look. But the question is "does it exceed itsfollowers' expectation?"

The front end of the 2017 Pathfinder has been given a makeover with its customary V-Motion grille and LED daytime lights, making it look a bit more "masculine", according to Drive of Australia.

This mid-size SUV's power is also up to 202kW, which is a 12kW increase, and torque has been increased by 15 Nm, registering now at 340 Nm, attributing the improvements to the makeover. Likewise, fuel efficiency is now down by 0.1- to 0.2- liters per 100 km to 9.9 liters per 100 km. Not so bad for an SUV that was classified to be great for a family.

And that's the good part. The reality is critics are not all the same in terms of their opinion with the 2017 Nissan Pathfinder.

US News and World Report has not been so kind - or maybe it was just being straightforward. The news agency did a separate review of the 2017 Pathfinder, utilizing several indicators and benchmarks to rate the Japanese auto brand.

However, based on its study, the agency ranked the 2017 Nissan Pathfinder at 16 over 18 mid-size SUVs in the market now. The explanation was although its upgrade was adequate, it did not record any outstanding or remarkable trait compared to the Nissan Murano or the Toyota Highlander.

The 2017 Pathfinder has a strong V6 engine, a great infotainment service, and spacious cargo space. On the other hand, it had a lackluster passenger space, dull driving dynamics, rough ride quality and unimpressive interior design.

Yet, another plus point in the 2017 Nissan Pathfinder is its still affordable standard ST model priced at $41,990 and the premium ST-L Hybrid at $60,690, according to Cars Guide. Add a flexible cruise control and sat-nav features with traffic monitoring for the ST-L model and you have a dependable SUV for the family.
