Subaru of America 50th Anniversary Edition Models to be launched; 2018 Subaru Legacy, Subaru XV & Subaru Outback

Subaru of America (SOA) will be celebrating its 50th year in existence soon. SOA was founded on Feb. 15, 1968. In celebration of their golden year, Subaru will be introducing its 50th Anniversary special edition vehicles.

2018 Subaru Legacy. The brand new Subaru model will be launched this year. True to its name, the Legacy will have very few alteration on its image and design. Car and Driver reported that the 2018 Legacy would still come in two model. The 2.51 model will have a 175 HP, 2.5 liters 4 cylinder boxer engine to carry the load.

The second type is the 3.6R model. It would have a stronger and bigger 256 HP, 3.56 engine under its hood. Both cars will have the Continuous Variable Automatic Transmission (CVT) as its only choice for shifting gears.

Subaru XV. According to Auto Industriya, a Japanese magazine has leaked pictures of the Next Generation Subaru XV before its debut this coming March on the Geneva Motor Show. The leaked pictures show that the next generation Subaru XV is modeled after the Impreza hatchback would come in 2 models. A smaller 115 PS, 1.6-liter boxer engine and a bigger 155 PS, 2.0-liter engine. 

Subaru Outback. Just like other Subaru models, the Subaru Outback has a 5-year product cycle. Now on its 4th year, the 2018 Subaru Outback is not expected to have major revisions. It is going to have significant remodeling to look better and fresher compared to other cars in the market.

Planet Subaru mentioned that the 2018 model would have the usual standard 2.5-liter engines under its hood. However, car buyers have the option to have the 256 HP, 3.6 liters, 6 cylinder engine if they want an upgrade. It is going to have a fuel efficiency of 20 to 27 miles per gallon.

These are just some of the cars that will be launched in the Subaru of America 50th Anniversary. Subaru Cars are known for its durability and dependability. We can only expect the best from this Top Auto brand.
