2018 Jaguar XE Receives A New Engine To Complete The 2018 Jaguar Lineup

The 2018 Jaguar XE compact sports sedan just launched in the US last year, and it already received several upgrades for 2018. The new model gets an all-new inline-four plucked from Jaguar's Ingenium powertrain family. The automaker also added new features such as a new digital gauge cluster display and padded the options sheet with a few extra active safety and convenience features.

The 2018 Jaguar XE sedan is now powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four cylinder rated at 247 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque. The all-aluminum mill spins the back wheels through an automatic transmission, but all-wheel drive can also be ordered at an extra cost.

Another version named XE S will also join the lineup for 2018. It comes with a supercharged 3.0-liter V6 that is borrowed from the F-type and is properly tuned to generated 380 horsepower. Jaguar didn't reveal any details about the car's performance, but the S is anticipated to out-run the other members of the XE lineup.
