Ferrari just released another beast in the wild, and it's called the 812 Superfast and will replace the F12 Berlinetta. The new supercar marks Maranello's fastest and most powerful production car ever.

The silly name originated from the automaker's history, starting with the 1956 410 Superfast that developed from the Superamerican name that was launched in 1955. And unlike the other three models from Maranello, the new car doesn't use turbos.

The successor of the F12 Berlinetta is equipped with a 6.5 liter V12 and produces 788 horsepower at a showy 8,500rpm. Peak torque is around 530lb-ft at 7,000rpm. Ferrari confirmed that 80 percent from that would be obtainable from 3,500rpm.

The all new 812 Superfast is the first Ferrari to use electric power steering, but the automaker assured that it wouldn't remove the steering feel. It also comes with the latest versions of Ferrari's stability control system and rear-wheel-steering setup, which allows the rear axle to improve high-speed handling and low-speed maneuverability.

Some reports say that this model will be the last Ferrari to have a naturally aspirated engine, before shifting its target to power plants with turbochargers and hybrid assists. The automaker aims to help the environment and bow to ever stricter regulations.

When it comes to speed, the new model claims to accelerate from 0 to 62mph in just 2.9 seconds. This front-engined car has a top speed of 211 mph.

Furthermore, the car also comes with a seven-speed-dual-clutch automatic that provides new gear ratios and faster shifting times. Other familiar features such as reactive aero flaps, venturis out back, vents, intakes and aerodynamic are equipped on the new model.

The 812 Superfast borrowed the F12's length but is 0.4 inches wider and 0.1 inches taller. Ferrari is expected to release more details in the upcoming weeks as it also prepares for the world debut of the new supercar at the Geneva Auto Show this March.
