2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk Review

The 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk will only get a few updates for this year. The updates, however, add an exciting twist to show the SUV's off-road capability.

For starters, the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk is undeniably the best mid-size SUV when it comes to off-road capabilities. It is a clear winner when compared to its competition.

Its competition (namely the Ford Edge, Nissan Murano, and Kia Sorento) are more usable on the pavement instead of off-road. On the other hand, the Trailhawk can go beyond the pavement.

The easiest way to spot the Trailhawk model is through its visually distinguished matte black hood stripes and red-accented tow hooks. It will also get an upgrade in suspension.

It will now be equipped with Jeep's Quadra-Lift air suspension with greater ride height. A total of 10.8 inches of ground clearance will be added, as well as an electronic limited-slip differential.

The 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk will also get upgraded tires. The new model will now come with Goodyear off-road tires and skid plates.

Inside, the Trailhawk is equipped with an 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen with just about any infotainment feature an owner could dream of. It offers luxury while living the life on the road.

Its well-designed cabin also offers good space for those who constantly travel. The 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk is on sale now for a base price of $44,090 and a tested price of $53,515.

It is well-equipped with a 5.7-liter V8 engine paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. It produces 360 horsepower at 5,150 rpm and 390 pound-feet of torque at 4,250 rpm.

The 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee is also sold on five other trim levels, excluding the Trailhawk. The other five are the Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo, Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited, Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland, Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit and Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT.
