Chemical Company Promises To Build A Unique 4x4 Off-Roader Inspired By The Land Rover Defender

Billionaire Jim Ratcliffe, the founder of the chemical company Ineos, set to revive the most iconic off-roader, the Land Rover Defender. Although Land Rover authoritatively announced that no is allowed to recreate their Defender, Ratcliffe stayed persistent in building his own version of the Land Rover Defender.

Ratcliffe revealed his plans of building an uncompromising 4x4 off-roader. With serious intentions about the project, Ratcliffe hired personnel and auto industry experts to start developing the plan into reality. He is also currently seeking production bases in the UK or Europe. He is willing to pay the price of $331 Million Dollar plant to start producing 20,000 off-roaders per year.

The chemical company completed an extensive feasibility study into the project in which the company proved to be workable. Ratcliffe assured that the new off-roader would not be an entire replica of the Land Rover Defender, thus, deemed safe against Defender's Lawyers. Instead, the project aims to reflect the Defender's philosophy to appeal to its original fanbase, agriculture and forestry workers, and explorers and adventures. The goal of Ratcliffe is to create a unique off-roader combining the Defender's off-road capabilities, and the quality and affordability of a modern Toyota Land Cruiser.

"I am a great admirer of the old Land Rover Defender and have enormous respect for its off-road capability, and our new 4x4 has been inspired by it. But while our off-roader might share its spirit, our new car will be a major improvement on previous models," says Ratcliffe via Car Buzz.

The Land Rover Defender stopped production last year after 68 long years. The most iconic off-roader accumulated the most devoted fans in the automotive industry. Ratcliffe is serious about this goal, and if deemed successful, loyal fans might tweak or switch to the new off-roader superstar.
