JTG Daugherty Racing is all set to hit the NASCAR tracks. Is JTG Daugherty Racing coming out stronger with drivers Chris Buescher and AJ Allmendinger?

JTG Daugherty Racing team features veteran AJ Allmendinger in number 47 entry. The team is now adding another car for Chris Buescher. After numerous speculations, it has now been confirmed that Chris Buescher, borrowed from Roush Fenway Racing, has been added to JTG Daugherty Racing to drive the number 37 entry.

AJ Allmendinger explained why they needed to add a second car. According to the veteran driver, the decision to have a two-car team was made to accommodate all their sponsors on the car.

Apparently, not many teams can boast to have too many sponsors. AJ Allmendinger was confident enough to declare they have too many sponsors.

AJ Allmendinger also shared about his good relationship with the team owner, Tad Geschickter. He detailed that NASCAR has been talking to the latter about sponsorships. He also added that Tad Geschickter is finally beginning to receive the due credit for his hard work.

Interestingly, the upcoming season-opening Daytona 500 will be a momentous event for AJ Allmendinger. This marks a new milestone in his driving career as it will be his 300th start at the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series level, Herald Tribune reported.

Furthermore, it will be an extra special start for AJ Allmendinger as NASCAR has an improved race format now. The Daytona 500 will be the first under this new race format of NASCAR. The race driver views it as "Good changes, more opportunities to score points."

JTG Daugherty Racing's principal owners are Tad Geschickter, Brad Daugherty and Jodi Geschickter. Chevrolet is the manufacturer of the team's cars sporting engines from ECR Engines. The team has made alliances with Richard Childress Racing.

JTG Daugherty's crew chiefs are AJ Allmendinger and Chris Buescher. The team earned a B- grading for its crew chief's quality, ESPN has noted.
