1970 Mercedes-Benz 250 Sedan Makes A Comeback; Still A Jewel

A 1970 Mercedes-Benz 250 Sedan was spotted in the East Bay self-service wrecking yard as it has reached the end of its lifespan. The car that had been spotted is an old one and is on the verge of being torn down.

The exterior of the 1970 Mercedes-Benz 250 Sedan is covered with moss and lichens. It shows that the car has not been attended to and has been stored in an outdoorsy place which was damp, reported Autoblog.

A few decades ago, the W114 Mercedes-Benz, ruled the roads. It slowly took in the new add-ons and evolved based on the tastes and the requirements of the newer car-owners. What it evolved to is the current day E-Class. During its time, the 250 Sedan was quite so popular in the San Francisco Bay Area.

During the time when it was sold in the market, the car was priced around $5,208. When it is converted to the current day dollars and if it is adjusted with respect to inflation, it would equate to around $32,000. In a flashback comparison, it can be said that the owner who picked this car also had the option to pick the really quick and powerful Buick GSX for just $4,479. The Buick gave a 360 horsepower and was a far more luxurious car.

When the interiors of the 1970 beauty are given a closer look, it can be observed that it used a 2.5-liter engine which used to generate a neat 146 horsepower to meet the demands of those days. The luxury sedan weighed up to 3,060-pound and moved quite well during its time, reported Automobile Catalog.

In the interior, the car has been upholstered with amazing MB-Tex seat fabric. It has survived almost half a century without looking worn and torn. It can be said that it withstood the test of time and the sun.

A number of units of the car were sold and life was renewed for the car. This car found in the junkyard can be renewed and can still have its day on the road.
