2018 Volkswagen Tiguan Design Workshop at the 2017 Chicago Auto Show

The 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan was featured at the 2017 Chicago Auto Show. Designers Johannes Brandsch, Leo Natterer, and Ina Janisch also conducted a private design workshop sponsored by the brand in Wolfsberg, Germany. What made the model a standout at the events?

Unique Tech Features. As per VW, the 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan has technological features that enabled consumers to connect to the outside world for help, and enjoy enhancements to audio systems, radio, or safety features. The Car-Net App-Connect gives consumers the option of linking their smartphones with the dash of the car. By merely plugging in the smartphone, their selected apps can appear on the car's touchscreen display.

Furthermore, the model has also been installed with the Fender Premium Audio System that makes the vehicle turn into a concert hall. The 400w amp and nine speakers within the vehicle makes it a perfect automobile choice for music lovers. Plus, its Bluetooth technology with audio streaming also let the user stream their favorite songs, podcasts, playlists, and talk radio.

The Show. In other news, Automobile Mag reported that the 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan is powered by a 2.0L TSI inline 4-cylinder engine that can generate 184 hp and 221 lb-ft of torque. Announced during the 2017 Chicago Auto Show, the Chinese and North American versions of the SUV would be incorporated with a third-row seat. Because of which, the passenger capacity would have been raised to two passengers. In fact, the model's length has increased to 57% more.

Designers Johannes Brandsch Ina Janisch, Leo Natterer, and Ina Janisch further discussed on the 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan's long-wheelbase version which was featured during the 2016 Detroit Auto Show, and will be incorporated with the VW Modular Transverse Matrix architecture. In fact, the thin tri-bar grille held with it, LED headlights and wraps around the front. It looked improved and abundance with technological upgrades.
