The Tesla Model S P100D acceleration. Although considered fast as an EV, the Model S P100D still isn't as fast as combustion engine cars such as the Ferrari LaFerrari or the Porsche 918. The former can reach 70 miles per hour a tenth of a second quicker. The latter on the other can go up to 80 miles per hour at also a tenth of a second quicker.

Accelerating the Model S P100D from a full stop will jerk one's body in such a way that it feels like one is driving a track car instead of a street-legal one. The benchmark for how fast car launches would be getting from 0 to 30 miles per hour and the Model S P100D can get to that speed 0.05 seconds quicker than the 911 Turbo S clocks in at 0.92 seconds.

Both vehicles are evenly matched when compared to 40 miles per hour. After 40 miles per hour, though the Model S P100 D unexpectedly pulls way ahead maintaining at least a 0.2-second lead starting at 60 miles per hour until 90.

The Model S P100D and 911 Turbo S are again evenly matching when crossing the quarter-mile mark at 10.5 seconds. At that particular point, the former is already clocking in speeds of up to 125 miles per hour with the latter being much faster by 6.8 miles per hour.

in Summary, the Tesla's Model S P100D is a remarkable electric vehicle that can stand its ground against combustion engine sports cars such as the Porsche 911 Turbo S. Tesla is proving how cost-effective yet powerful an EV can actually be.
