Harley-Davidson has finally released a new Road King Special. It comes with new color variants and features a chrome-less design.
The new Road King Special focuses on pure design with unadulterated power. It is big and dramatic and will surely turn heads. The motorcycle manufacturer believes that "When you take to the road on the new Road King® Special, you don't just rule the road. You own it."
According to a report by Car and Bike NDTV, the Milwaukee, Wisconsin motorcycle manufacturer has revealed their new Harley-Davidson Road King Special in the United States. It now has four new colors and removes all the chrome. Not exactly all of it, but almost all of it.
In place of all of the chrome paint on the motorcycle is now a "Moody Black" color. This includes the engine covers, airbox covers, guards, shields, and exhausts. All of these have been blacked out.
Also, Tech 2 reported that the regular handlebars have also been replaced with 9-inch tall ape handlebars. The front windscreen was removed as well.
The new Harley-Davidson Road King Special comes in four exciting colors: Charcoal Denim, Vivid Black, Olive Gold, and the Hot Rod Red Flake Hard Candy Custom. With these new color options, the chrome-less blacked-out finish makes the new Harley look more distinguished and angrier.
The new Road King still has a 1,750 Milwaukee Eight Engine like its predecessor. According to the motorcycle manufacturer, the new engine is a bit tweaked. It now offers 10 percent more torque and is much more refined than the previous version. A factory-engineered "Screamin Eagle Stage" upgrade with complete street compliant performance configurations is also an option. This will give increased torque and horsepower for those who want to own the road.
The Road King Special is the lightest in the FL range. It also gets new dual-bending valve which launched in the new 2017 range with Milwaukee Eight engines.
