BeatsX Wireless Vs Apple AirPods: Check Out Which Product Is Better In Terms Of Sound Quality, Design, Pricing, & More

BeatsX Wireless is finally here nearly six months after it was initially announced. So, let's take a closer look at how these newly released wireless earphones fair with Apple's one-of-a-kind and truly wireless AirPods.

Compared with Apple's flagship AirPods, they didn't have to start from scratch bringing to life the new BeatsX Wireless. And true enough, they only added a few extra features to make sure their already successful line will stand out.

Price. Let's begin with the price. It's always a must to compare pricing when it comes to gadgets. The BeatsX Wireless is $10 cheaper compared to the $159 price tag on the AirPods. So far, in terms of pricing, perhaps Dr. Dre's earbuds are spot on.

Design. This is fairly obvious, and simple. The AirPods were designed to be one-size-fits-all with completely, and that cannot be stressed enough, wire-free based on the already successful EarPods.

On the other hand, the BeatsX Wireless is not at all completely wireless. According to AppleInsider, is a tethered design much like the recent Powerbeats3. You still get the Flex Form cable that will run behind your head. Magnets are built-in the earbuds, causing them to snap together when not in use or for easy storage.

Plus, it also comes with 3 interchangeable eartips in case the standard wouldn't feel snug in your ear canal. You also get a pair of "earwings" that you can use to make sure they won't fall off when you are working out or doing strenuous activities.

And thanks to Apple's W1 chips which are housed in its flagship earbuds, pairing is elementary simple with any Apple device with the BeatsX Wireless, reports The Verge. Dr. Dre's earphones are also compatible with Android devices but you need a lightning cable to charge them.

What you get out of the box. There are somewhat 4 items you get once you pick up a pair of Apple's flagship earphones: the case, AirPods themselves, lightning cable, and a few literature, which for sure only a few of you will actually read. But what's special about the AirPods is its case, which by now you already know.

Meanwhile, as far as what you get from the BeatsX Wireless, well you get the BeatsX, customizable ear tips, lightning cable, and a carrying case, which unlike Apple's flagship earphones will not be a charging port.

Don't fret, because if you pick up a pair of BeatsX Wireless, like right now, you get a code for 3 months worth of free Apple Music.

Charge time. Because Apple's flagship earbuds are completely wireless, its case will serve as the portable charger. So, overall, its combined listening time will be around 24 hours. Otherwise, you get 5 hours.

Dr. Dre's headphones, on the other hand, has 8 hours of battery life built into the unit itself. Plus, it is equipped with a fast-charging feature wherein your 5 mins worth of charge will give you 2 hours of playback. Now, isn't that hand for road trips?

Sound quality. Simply put, Dr. Dre's earphones have more base compared to Apple's flagship earbuds. This could be attributed to the way the BeatsX Wireless sits in your ear, but do offer an enhanced acoustic seal compared with the AirPods.

So, now that we have the basics covered, it's up to you which specific set of earphones fits your taste. Would you consider the freedom and flexibility of Apple's AirPod or the extra layer of base found in BeatsX Wireless by Dr. Dre's? Let us know what you think by leaving your comments below.
