Volvo S90 vs Buick LaCrosse: Which Vehicle Should You Pick?

Volvo as well as Buick has passed the tests in the auto industry. One point in time, both brands were on the verge of being closed down. But they survived, thrived and then flourished.

In the latest front, both brands are out with their new offering to the market. Volvo is out with a new mid-size sedan, the S90. Buick also came up with the mid-size four-door vehicle, the LaCrosse. Though the S90 is perceived as a luxury sedan and LaCrosse as a mid-market car, they closely match when it comes to the features and the overall look.

LaCrosse is priced below $50,000 and has a classy exterior and does have a smooth finish with the ancient red-silver-and-blue cloisonne-style emblem.

Now when we take a look at the 2017 Volvo S90, it priced over $66, 000 and has many options to offer. In fact, we can call it a smooth and perfect car with an exterior that is simple as well as classy with its contemporary design, reported Business Insider.

The LaCrosse is powered by a 3.6-liter V6 engine which pumps out around 305 horsepower. The vehicle has an impressive economy of 25 mpg combined city/highway.

The engine of Volvo S90 is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine fitted with a turbocharger and also a supercharger. It generates 316 horsepower. It gives in an eight-speed automatic transmission and has a fuel economy which is the same as the Buick at about 25 combined city/highway.

The LaCrosse has eight-way power seats, heated and cooled, and with a massage function for the driver and a lumbar support. The car has leather upholstery and also has a heated steering wheel. It also has an 11-speaker Bose audio system, reported Yahoo

The Volvo S90 has a gorgeous interior with linear walnut wood inlays. It has supple and comfortable leather seats. In the front, the seats can be adjusted 10 ways and they are also heated. The car has an audio system by Bowers & Wilkins. The interiors also have some over the top touches like a silver starter knob which is placed between the front seats.

The LaCrosse has the infotainment system called the "IntelliLink." It has an intuitive touchscreen interface with 4G LTE wifi connectivity.

The Volvo S90 has paid more attention to the large center touchscreen which has swipe-able and pull-down menus which feature such as Satellite radio, Bluetooth integration, USB/AUX ports to hook up devices, navigation, and a wifi hotspot capability.

The Volvo S90 is an excellent car as the sedan is set to take down on vehicles like Audi, BMW, and Mercedes. It is designed and priced to be a luxury car. However, the LaCrosse is just as luxurious with awesome features. The price makes it competitive too! Buick has definitely raised the bars this time.
