Google's Chromebooks first made its debut way back in 2011 and teamed up with large PC-makers like Acer, Dell, and Samsung. Google has achieved in making powerful little machines that can cater most of the user's computing needs. But the all new Samsung Chromebook Pro, which was revealed this past January's CES, along with the Chromebook Plus, will take on the Windows PCs and Apple's MacBooks.
Differences between the Plus and Pro can easily be found under its hood. The Plus uses and ARM processor while the Pro uses an Intel Core m3 chip which is more powerful than the ARM processor. When it comes to graphics, the Plus is equipped with an internal graphics, probably integrated, while the Pro has an Intel HD graphics 515.
Samsung's Chromebook Pro is on of the first Chrome OS devices that are built with Android Apps. The device is equipped with an aluminum chassis with satin finish, curved corners, and rounded edges, making the device look like two tablets joined.
The Pro comes with 32GB of storage, and 4G of RAM. The specs mentioned are more than enough to take on basic web browsing, and Chromebooks nowadays are now capable working partners as the Andriod Apps are developing onto Chromebooks.
Furthermore, Samsung equipped the device with a 2400x1600 234 PPI LED touchscreen with a 3:2 ratio onto the Chromebook Pro. The device's edges are rounded and thin and contain the laptop's ports. Its left side highlights a combo headphone and mic jack, a micro SD card reader, and one USB Type-C port. The right side houses the volume rocker, a power button, the other USB Type-C port, and a stylus holder.
Also, both of the USB Type-C ports supports speeds up to 5Gbps, 4K display, and charging. The stylus pen is also identical to the stylus that is used on Samsung Note handsets.
The Chromebook Plus will cost $499, which will be available this coming February 12, while Samsung's Chromebook Pro will cost $549. Its been announced that shipping of the Pro will begin this April.
