Ford Presents Entire Showroom At North American International Auto Show, Showcases All-New 2013 Fusion, F-Series Trucks

Over 65 vehicles will be featured in the Ford showroom this year at the North American International Auto Show, including all-new Fiestas, Fusions, and Transit vehicles according to a company press release.

The 60,000-square-foot exhibit will also showcase new Mustangs, and F-Series trucks to give people a sneak peak at what the company has in store for the next year or so.

"It's important for Ford that the F-150 does not lose its mantle of being the best selling truck for more than three decades." said Jesse Toprak, senior analyst at auto price information company TrueCar.com to The Los Angeles Times. "Ford is hoping that by showing the concept F-150, it will stop buyers from purchasing from its rivals, especially the new Silverado and Sierra that were recently introduced."

The company is planning on honoring the 150th birthday of Henry Ford, as an actor hired to play Ford will guide people around the Ford showroom. The tour will begin with the actor showing viewers an original 1903 Model A vehicle as he talks about Ford's life, as well as the history of the company.

New transit full-size cargo vans and wagons are predicted to deliver best-in-class fuel economy, as Ford stated this week they'll average 25 percent better than any other E-Series model offered today. Three different roof heights and body lengths will be made available, along with two wheelbases.

"The theme of this year's Ford stand is 'People Serving People,'" said Elena Ford, director of Global Marketing, Sales and Service Operations in the Ford press release. "The everyday heroes who use these commercial vehicles will be a part of the exhibit to share their experiences with guests."

Three different engine options will also be made available, including a 3.7-liter V6, 3.5-liter EcoBoost and a new 3.2-liter Power Stroke five-cylinder engine.

Ford is currently the largest manufacturer in the global commercial vehicle segment where the company competes, and has been North America's highest-selling truck brand for almost 30 years according to the press release.
