Target Holds Apple Watch Sale Is Still Ongoing, Which Items Are Sold With A Discount?

Target started to hold a mega sale on select Apple Watch items. Although the week is about the end, the store has announced that the sale would persist and new models would join in on the discounted items to be sold.

As expected. Rolex still led the top sales for watches in the industry. However, the Apple Watch had been tracking behind at the number two spot with no real competition over the brand. Furthermore, Target has decided to continue the sale of the products at cheaper prices even to this day, reported BGR. The lineup of models on sale are Apple Watch Series 1 38mm Space Gray Aluminum, Silver Aluminum, Rose Gold Aluminum, and Gold Aluminum; 42mm Space Gray Aluminum, Silver Aluminum, Rose Gold Aluminum, and Gold Aluminum.

The latest addition to the model sales is the Apple Watch Series 2 which has improved water resistance features, a new Apple S2 processor and has updated GPS installed. It has also been labeled as an optimal choice for those who love running and swimming sports due to the water-resistance feature and ease of use. The high-end series, despite its new specs, has the same size as the original Apple Watch sold on sale at Target this week. The only difference between the two is the processor speed.

In other news, Fortune reported that brand has sold about 6 million Apple Watch produces during the fourth quarter of last year. These numbers were recorded to be a 12% increase during last year's fourth quarter. In total, the product spawned 9 million units worldwide just for 2016 alone. These numbers, however, are not official sales figures as Apple refused to reveal the exact sales dividends of the brand. These figures were guesses and estimates created by researchers and analysts.

Furthermore, the estimated cost of Apple Watch sales was more than $2.4 billion for the fourth quarter alone - 80% of its total revenue for 2016. Therefore, a 49% market share was concluded. Did Target play a crucial role to the product's saleability to the market?
