Ford-250 Pickup Truck: Lighter, More Powerful, and Fully-Equipped

The Ford F-250 has always been known as a heavy-duty workhorse. The 2017 model continues to live up to that reputation and adds in a little bit more sophistication and technological features.

The Ford F-250 Pickup Truck. The F-250 has an aluminum-alloy body just like the F-150. Its frame is mostly made up of high-strength industrial steel. The combination of both is attributed to the truck's weight, which is 350 pounds lighter than the previous model.

Under the hood is a 6.2-liter gasoline V8 gasoline engine that is able to churn out 385 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque. One can opt for the 6.7-liter V8 turbodiesel engine which gives out 440 horsepower and 925 pound-feet of torque. Both engines are paired with a six-speed automatic transmission.

The truck's towing capacity is a whopping 18,000 pounds. That is 5,800 more pounds than the 2017 F-150.

Features include full LED lighting, adaptive cruise control, and lane-departure warning. It also has blind-spot monitoring. One can find LED spotlights in the mirrors, taillights, and bed along with cameras scattered around the exterior. As much as 6 cameras can be set up. The 8.0-inch display touchscreen can scan almost every single angle of the truck's exterior.

The interior offers a good combination of style and function with lots of storage space, large buttons and knobs, and the Sync 3 interface. There are convertible cupholders in the center console, multiple 110-volt power outlets that can provide as much as 400 watts of power, and a storage compartment with a size that is more than enough.

The 2017 Ford F-250 is one powerful and fully-equipped pickup truck and should be able to offer more than one should need. It offers a comfortable ride and feels rigidly secure.

The truck retails at a base price of US$32,535.00. It can, however, go up to as much as US$62,310.00 with additional features.
