2017 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport: A Reasonably Priced High-Performance Coupe

The 2017 Grand Sport is a full-fledged Corvette model from Chevrolet. It is an updated and much better version of what it was years back.

The 2017 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport. The 2017 Grand Sport with the seven-speed manual transmission is able to go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just 3.9 seconds. Although less powerful, it can run a quarter of a mile in 12.2 seconds at a speed of 116.1 miles per hour versus the Camaro SS 1LE's 12.4 seconds at 114.2 miles per hour. In addition, the Camaro can hit 60 miles per hour at 4 seconds which is 0.1 seconds slower than the Grand Sport.

The eight-speed automatic transmission, on the other hand, helps with acceleration. With it, the Grand Sport is able to go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 3.6 seconds. The time to run a quarter of a mile goes down by 12 seconds at more or less the same speed.

It has an enormously generous amount of grip that definitely helps with the handling.

The price of the base trim of the Grand Sport is at US$66,445 which is around US$10,000 more expensive than a base trim Stingray. It costs around US$15,000 less than the cheapest Z06 but US$5,000 more expensive than the cheapest Stingray Z51 model more or less. The convertible version of the 2017 Grand Sport, however, starts at an impressively reasonable US$70,445. In summary, it is a world-class vehicle that offers you the power you would expect for a reasonable price.
