Range Rover Evoque Review: The Practical but Pricey Head Turner

The Range Rover Evoque is a luxury car with a bold look. While it may be priced higher than most of its competitors, many would argue that the padded price is well worth the extra glances.

Pros and Features. The Land Rover Range Rover Evoque is a crossover SUV that is a mix of both style and substance. It has a fashion-forward appearance and gives a wide variety of choices. It is a sleek ride that is meant for sporty and fast driving with its powerful 240-horsepower turbocharged engine.

The Evoque has a stunning interior and exterior design. Even more impressive is its fuel economy. Considering that it is a beautiful luxury car, many are surprised by how practical this crossover SUV is.

Cons. The Land Rover crossover SUV has poor rear visibility and cramped rear seats. In addition, it is also more expensive than most luxury crossovers.

What's New? The 2017 Evoque now comes with a new convertible model. Other upgrades across the line-up have also been introduced such as the All-Terrain Progress Control which is basically just a low-speed crawl control.

Models. The 2017 Range Rover Evoque is a luxury compact crossover SUV that comes in three distinct versions: a two-door "coupe," a four-door hatchback, and a new convertible! The two-door coupe only comes in SE Premium trim while the convertible is offered in SE Dynamic and HSE Dynamic trims. The four-door hatchback is available in SE, SE Premium, HSE, HSE Dynamic, and Autobiography.

The SE features 18-inch alloy wheels, front and rear parking sensors, keyless entry and ignition, a rear spoiler, and rear privacy glass. It also has leather upholstery, eight-way power front seats, cruise control, and brushed aluminum trim. It also sports state of the art tech features.

The SE Premium gets adaptive xenon headlights, fog lights, and a fixed panoramic glass roof. The SE Dynamic model (comes in convertible only) includes 12-way power front seats, a navigation system with 10.2-inch touchscreen interface, and an 11-speaker Meridian audio system.

The Range Rover Evoque HSE has the features of the SE Dynamic plus 19-inch alloy wheels, automatic high beams, and configurable interior ambient lighting. The HSE Dynamic adds adaptive suspension, beautiful exterior styling details, and textured aluminum trim with illuminated kick plates.

The Autobiography is the range topper that has 20-inch alloy wheels, adaptive LED headlights, cornering lights, and an autonomous emergency braking system. It also has 14-way power front seats with built-in massage, extended leather trim, a surround-view camera system, and a 17-speaker Meridian audio system.

Verdict. If you have the extra budget for it and you want a fancy and flashy car, this may be just the one you want. Apart from its bold and beautiful look, the 2017 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque is surprisingly fuel efficient. This crossover SUV is a real keeper.
