AMD Ryzen To Release 17 SKUs Including Pro and X Versions To Compete Against Intel Core i7 Chips Leaked!

AMD Ryzen is confirmed to be released in early March, and AMD Vega soon follows on Q2 of 2017. Today, AMD Ryzen releasing 17 SKUs to compete against Intel Core i7 processors leaked. Here are the information regarding the AMD Ryzen models:

Basing on the list provided, R7 1800X and R7 Pro 1800 will AMD's high-end Ryzen chipset. It will run at 3.0 GHz to 3.6 GHz Core Clock and 8C/16T processors. This is expected to compete against Intel's Core i7 6900K. The R7 1700X, 1700, and Pro 1700 are equivalent to Intel Core i7 7700K and 7700 respectively. The AMD R5 1600X, Pro 1600, 1500, and Pro 1500, series will run at 3.2 GHz to 3.5 GHz and 6C/12T processors. Its Intel equivalents are i5 7600K, i5 7600, and i5 7500 respectively. As stated earlier, the AMD Ryzen will release both Pro and X versions. According to the same source, the Pro versions are designed for workstation application, and compatible with ECC memory. Meanwhile, the AMD Ryzen X versions might be the unlocked chips since the AMD Ryzen will have unlocked and locked processors.

In other news, AMD Vega is predicted to roll out sometime between April to June. The AMD Vega graphic cards will exhibit HBM2 similar to NVIDIA Titan X featuring GDDR5X. This HBM2 provides a much larger bandwidth.

The SKU list is not yet 100% confirmed. Readers are warned to take the information with a grain of salt since AMD has not provided any details yet. Auto News World will provide updates once it is available.

The AMD Ryzen and AMD Vega are the upcoming chipsets from the AMD company. It promises high-end performance at a reasonable price compared to Intel's prices.
