It carries a 1.4 Liter engine with a punch of 153 HP.  It has a 6-speed manual transmission that can accelerate up to 60mph in only 7.6 seconds.  This 5-sitter car will keep buyers interested because of its 37 - 40 mpg fuel efficiency depending on where they are heading.

2017 Ford Focus S. Ford reported that this car is just a few hundred dollars cheaper compared to the ones included in the compact car category. Valued at $16,755.00, this car definitely falls under the list of affordable cars for 2017. It has a 2.0-liter engine under the hood and carries a 160 HP power that can comfortably seat 5 people. It boasts of a 5-speed manual transmission that will give its users a 26 - 38 mpg city and highway driving.

2017 KIA FORTE LX. According to Kia, this sporty looking family car has a 2.0 16 valve engine powerful enough to give you a 147 HP punch. Priced only at $16,600 its affordability is beyond question. This 5-sitter baby comes with a 6-speed manual transmission.  

Bigger savings are expected considering its fuel efficiency. It only consumes 25 - 34 miles per gallon of gas. Safety wise, it's equipped with a 4 wheel Anti Braking System (ABS).  It also has side airbags to ensure safety in case of a collision. Although it's included in the list of affordable cars, you cannot deny that this car is loaded with full features.
