MWC 2017: Sony, LG and Huawei To Expected To Launch New Smartphones at this year's Mobile World Congress in Barcelona

All the big names are expected to launch their new smartphones at this year’s Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Sony, LG, and Huawei are just a few of them. GSMA expects more than 100,000 attendees at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona this year.

According to Mirror UK, many of the big companies have released teasers for their mobile handsets and gadget. Samsung usually unveils their flagship smartphones at Mobile World Congress. However, the company’s mobile head Dj Koh said that the Galaxy S8 won’t be making an appearance at the show.

However, Sony is rumored to unveil five new smartphones at Mobile World Congress, including a flagship with a 5.5-inch 4K display that is optimized for virtual reality. LG is expected to unveil the G6 smartphone which is said to have a display of 18:0 aspect ratio. Huawei on the other hand, customers are hoping for a Huawei P10 with a Leica dual camera system. Nokia is supposed to reveal a new tablet with an 18.4inch screen, powered by Android Nougat, as well as at least one new smartphone. Mobile World Congress is not just about smartphones, but there are also going to be plenty of gadgets, such as artificial intelligence, drones, robotics, virtual reality, augmented reality and much more.

Business Wire has reported that there are more than a dozen new keynote speakers for the four-day conference program. They have all gathered together at the exhibition at Mobile World Congress to represent their companies across the technology industry. 

Apart from the showcase, there will also be an official MMIX Party that will take place on the evening of Tuesday, 28th February at the Luz de Gas club in central Barcelona. It will feature a live performance of the UK’s band “Glass Animals”. All registered Mobile World Congress attendees will have a ticket but they’re limited and available on a first come, first served basis. Applications for the tickets can be submitted at their official site.
