The Japanese automobile manufacturer, Nissan, is the largest electric vehicle manufacturer in the world. Late last year, the company was able to make a remarkable sale of their Leaf all-electric car that reached more than 240,000 units. In mid-December, the company has a global sale of more than 275,000 electric vehicles. Today, Nissan will go further with their electric vehicle with the Juke e-Power concept.

The latest concept will be revealed this fall at an auto show that will take place in Tokyo. This Juke e-Power concept comes with an exterior modeled after the Gripz SUV style concept. It will feature a surprising hybrid powertrain from the subcompact Note e-power production.

Launched late last year, the e-Power is a hybrid series that has a 1.2-liter three-cylinder gasoline engine with a generator and inverter. It will receive electricity from using a generator out of the engine for the car's electric motor. As for the new powertrain, it doesn't offer any option for a recharge from the grid since there is no plug-in port available. It only relies on the engine for electricity.

Some enthusiasts may find it strange with its proliferation of plug-in hybrids including the Prius Prime from Toyota and the Chevrolet Volt, this new Juke e-Power concept system does not have much of battery to charge. But the main advantage of this concept is that the battery doesn't take much of interior space since it's packed below the front seats. This may not be the same as the series of sports car, but it should have an expeditious feedback of an electric-based vehicle.

When this electric car reaches the market, it is expected to have a price around $20,000. As of now, there were no official announcements if it will open its market in the United Sates which is currently doesn't get the Note e-Power.
