Le Mans 2017 News: Toyota Gazoo Racing Parades With Three Entries

The Le Mans 2017 news revealed that Toyota Gazoo Racing will have three official entries this coming FIA World Endurance Championship. The official drivers announced were Jose Maria Lopez, Kamui Kobayashi, and Mike Conway along with three others.

The Cars. The official lineup of Toyota Gazoo Racing will be racing with three TS050 Hybrid models as official entries for the Le Mans 2017 24 hours race at Spa-Francorchamps. As reported by Toyota, the team has yet to declare who would be pairing with who but an official announcement is expected soon. Furthermore, the said vehicles would be updated this coming March 31 before an official two-day test would commence at the Italian Circuit.

The updated team members would comprise to at least six LMP1 cars at each round of twos which would be joined by the Porsche Team and single Bykolles cars. Like Toyota, Porsche is expected to run a third car. However, no official confirmation has attested to the expectation but would be announced this coming Thursday.

The Drivers. During an interview, Lopez attested that he had been dreaming of racing with a hybrid. He also shared his insights about how the TS050 Hybrid has an impressive technology and since he had been used to driving WTCC cars, he expects the race to be challenging. In fact, it is Lopez's first ride with Le Mans 20117, reported Motor Sports.

With respect to Sarrazin whose race this year is his comeback with Toyota WEC team, he is expected to play an important role in the third car as the official lead driver. Buemi, on the other hand, had been playing with Le Mans since 2012, Davidson since 2003, Nakajima since 2012, Conway since 2013, and Kobayashi since 2013.

The Le Mans 2017 will welcome three cars from the Toyota Gazoo Racing team with six drivers. The official pairing of drivers for the three TS050 would be announced soon.
