Lenovo Legion Y720: Built To Provide An Advanced Gaming Laptop

The Lenovo Legion Y720 gaming laptop features Lenovo's tune-up software which allows gamers to use laptops to the entire potential of their specs.  It will be available sometime in April 2017. The price would start $1,399 for the baseline model.

The Lenovo Legion Y720 will either come with a Kaby Lake i5 or i17 processors.  It will either have 512 GB SSD or 2 TB SATA HDD internal storage, 16 GB of RAM and a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 GPU. The laptop is equipped with either a 1080p display or a 3840x2160 resolution screen.

It has a 15.6-inch IPS display mobile gaming, which allows the laptop to run a virtual reality headset such as the current Oculus Rift or HTC Vive. Though, future generations of the headset will not need such high requirements from PCs.

The audio support of Lenovo's Legion Y720 offers two 2W JBL Speakers and 3W subwoofer Dolby Atmos, which built to provide an excellent sound experience with no headphones or external speaker. It features the same attribute that other gaming center laptops do, for instance, an RGB LED keyboard.

For game players, Y720 is compatible with an internal receiver for the Xbox One controller, which allows pairing up to four controllers without using a cord or dongle. It has an optional 4K display up to 32GB of DDR4 RAM, 2TB HDD, and 1TB PCIe SSD.

It offers a hefty 60 hr battery, which lasts up to 5 hours off battery life. The display of the laptop is linked to the bottom part of the laptop using two hinges, it is placed in the middle to show a greater angle.

The Lenovo Legion Y720 also features "Lenovo Calls VR Upscaling," which transposes the PC game-interface into the full view of the headset. The Legion720 also adopts many of its design cues from Lenovo' s largest gaming laptop ever the IdeaPad Y900 including a central hinge and an optional four-zone RGB keyboard.
