Mercedes-Benz AMG GT C Is Not For The Faint Of Heart

Super Bowl weekend is finally here. And that can only mean the battle for the best commercial advertisements begin. This year's Mercedes-Benz AMG GT C advertisement is top-notch, to say the least.

Their latest TV Spot in the United States aired this past weekend. In the ad, Mercedes-Benz paid homage to the 1969 film 'Easy Rider' - an easy classic.

The film was transformed into a cool modern-day adaptation where the chopper is replaced with the Mercedes AMG GT C Roadster. The GTC Roadster will provide the exciting feeling of riding a motorcycle without actually riding a motorcycle - get it? All of the fun, none of the motorcycle hazards.

The advertisement is especially close to the 'Easy Rider' film as it had Peter Fonda as the main star. As most fans would remember, Fonda played the main character in the original films.

The iconic 'Born to Be Wild' song by Steppenwolf was also featured. Upon seeing the commercial ad, the fan reactions were split in the middle. Some loved the tribute to the classic film, while some were open to their disdain. Matt Goldberg from Collider recently wrote on the website, saying:

"Of course, the revolutionary cinema of yesterday is today's advertising fodder. While others have certainly parodied Easy Rider, it's a bit disheartening to see the movie used as a platform to sell an expensive luxury car."  When Fonda walks in at the end and gets in the Mercedes-AMG GT, he may as well say, "Selling out is fun!"

On the other hand, 2017 is also a great year for the Mercedes-AMG as this year marks its 50th anniversary. The Mercedes-Benz AMG GT C is expected to be a lot different from the GTR model.

While the car can obviously be great for taking road trips, only true-blue car enthusiasts know this car it is more than just that. The Mercedes-Benz AMG GT C can do more than just open road cruising. Do not forget the power of the potent turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 and all of the other features it comes with.
