Get Ready As Tesla Launches Its Longest-Range Electric Car, The Model S 100 D In The Market Quietly

Tesla comes with yet again another astonishing creation and innovation as it launches in the market the longest-range electric car - the Model S 100 D. The launch did not get much big exposure or grand introduction but simply an update with the website of Tesla.

The new Model S 100 D comes out with a listed price of $92,500 and offers a range of 335 miles if fully charged. This has the longest range of 20 miles which is greater than its predecessor the P100 D.

This brand new offering from Tesla uses the same battery as with the P100 D which was just released recently as well. Compared with this new model, the Model S 100 D trades power and performance for the range.

Range nowadays is apparently being considered more in the rising market for electric cars. However, they are still a matter of debate depending on what consumers really needed or wanted the most. Environmentalists believed that short-range electric vehicles are much better choice. But for drivers, as surveys have shown, they want range to be around 100 to 300 miles.

Other electric cars in the market include the Chevy Bolt with 238 miles and priced at $37,495; the Nissan Leaf with 107 miles and priced at $31,545 and the Ford Focus with 107 miles and priced at $30,000. Tesla will still release another Model 3 which was said to have a 215-miles and priced at $35,000.

Technological innovation definitely knows no bounds and with the rising market for more products such as the Model S 100 D, there are no doubts that the future of the electric car will flourish for years to come.
