Porsche Macan Turbo’s New Performance Package

Porsche, the German carmaker is rolling out a Performance package for 2017 Porsche Macan Turbo which is already the sportiest model in the lineup. The package offers a mass of performance upgrades focusing at the engine suspension and brake. It also comes with a number of unique features inside and out.

More power, bigger brakes and a sportier suspension calibration are the key components of the 2017 Porsche Macan Turbo with the Performance package. It gets a newly calibrated 3.6-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine delivering 440 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque. The maximum torque increased 36 pound-feet to 442. The engine mated to a seven-speed PDK double-clutch transmission.

Sprinting from 0 to 60 mph takes 4.2 seconds with extra mph, two-tenths quicker than the standard model or 0.4 seconds quicker than the basic configuration. Top speed also increases to 169 mph compared to the 164 mph driver can hit with the basic Turbo. The Performance Package also includes upgraded brakes with large front rotors and a re-tuned version of the Porsche Assistive Suspension Management adaptive system including a ride height lowered by 10 millimeters.

Its models distinguished by 21-inch wheels 911 turbo design wheels, blacked-out trim and LED headlights. For the inside, the Performance Package adding black leather upholstery with Alcantara, color applied to trim and some carbon fiber trim pieces. Rounding off the cabin package are side sills with model logos that lit up in white.

Moreover, buyers could also get a new brake system, a lower chassis, the Sport Chrono package and a sport exhaust system. The front brakes are about an inch bigger and the calipers painted red. It also features front axle grooved brake disc with a 390 mm diameter, 30 mm larger than discs fitted on standard car's Turbo.

Lastly, the 2017 Porsche Macan would be a good fit for a family that desires some performance excitement. The Performance Package has all the attributes that a luxury car possesses. This helps the car from retaining its sports car like handling.
