Toyota And Porsche Won The Kelley Blue Book’s 2017 Best Resale Value Awards

Toyota and Porsche have gained the top spots in the 2017 list of brands with best resale value. Toyota won the "Best Resale Value Brand" award while Porsche picked up the "Best Resale Value Luxury" award.

Kelley Blue Book's Best Resale Value awards are calculated based on its internal projections in residual vehicle values. Considering the output of statistical models, a team of analysts gathers the data to determine the best resale value.

The Best Brand and Best Luxury Brand awards are based on the overall combined resale-value capabilities of the whole line up of vehicles of each brand. The brands who will earn these awards should have satisfied demand for production units and have offered an excellent line up of new models.

Toyota earned the "Best Brand" award for having several of its cars, trucks, SUVs and its Sienna minivan in the top list of best resale value in various categories. On the other hand, Porsche won the "Best Luxury Brand" award because of its continued success in leading the luxury brands with its stable high resale value and huge fan base.

Moreover, KBB has also unveiled its list of top 10 cars with the best resale value. It is interesting to note that majority of vehicles included in the list were trucks. Toyota's three trucks, 4Runner, Tacoma and Tundra were enlisted. GMC's Canyon and Sierra were also included in the top 10. Chevrolet Silverado and Colorado have also landed in the top 10. The list also included the Honda Ridgeline, Jeep Wrangler and the Subaru WRX, which is the only car model in the group.

As you choose the new car you plan to purchase this year, this list of recent awards may help you in deciding which brand to purchase with the benefit of a high resale value.
