BMW X6 2017 Review: All You Need to Know About This Eye-Catching SUV/High-End Coupe

The BMW X6 2017 is arguably one of the most eye-catching cars of the German automobile manufacturer. It looks unique, versatile, and very elegant. It is an SUV that looks like a high-end coupe and is well-loved among loyalists of the brand.

Pros and Features. The 2017 X6 is a midsize crossover that has been styled to look like a sport coupe. It has four doors and seats five people as standard.

The X6 features a selection of powerful engines as well as agile dynamics. It has a comfortable and quiet ride. It also has a top-quality interior with comfortable front seats and lots of storage.

Cons. The crossover SUV has a small cargo area and poor rearward visibility. It also has limited rear headroom and it's unfortunate that the rear seats don't recline. The X6 also has a very high price point that is much higher than most luxury SUVs.

What's New? This year's X6 gets an updated iDrive system with touchscreen technology. The Premium and Executive packages now include Wi-Fi hotspot and wireless cellphone charging.

Models. The BMW X6 comes in four models: the rear-wheel-drive sDrive35i, the all-wheel-drive xDrive35i and xDrive50i, and the high-performance X6 M. The rear-wheel-drive sDrive35i and all-wheel-drive xDrive35i both come with the same standard features.

The sDrive35i and xDrive35i both include 19-inch alloy wheels, high-intensity xenon headlights, LED foglights, and a sunroof. A power liftgate, front and rear parking sensors, and auto-dimming outside mirrors are also part of their package. Other comfort and tech features are also found inside.

The X6 models come with BMW's iDrive interface and a touchpad controller. A 10.2-inch touchscreen, navigation system, smartphone and audio connectivity, and the BMW ConnectedDriver services are also included.

The xDrive50i adds a V8 engine, a rearview camera, and keyless ignition. An upgraded Harman Kardon sound system and special features are also available.

The six-cylinder and V8-powered models have two comprehensive optional packages: the xLine and M Sport. Both packages come with unique 19-inch wheels and can be upgraded to 20-inchers. The xLine also has aluminum running boards while the M Sport has a special body kit, a variety of interior trim choices, and other comfort features and upgrades.

Verdict. The BMW X6 2017 is a beautiful and attractive SUV. It is a bold and beautiful crossover that is designed to look like a high-end coupe that conveys dynamics and elegance. It is a great choice despite its high price point.
