Honda Acura MDX: The Best-Selling Three-Row Luxury SUV

The Acura MDX is a midsize luxury SUV which features a car-like unibody platform and three rows of seats. It is produced by the Japanese automaker Honda under its Acura luxury nameplate since 2000.

The Acura MDX is supported with an optional Entertainment Package including a rear DVD entertainment system, heated rear seats, and an 115-volt electrical plug-in socket.  It is still oriented with a touchscreen and a single volume knob.

It is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine that generates a 290 horsepower, 267 lb-ft of torque and a nine-speed automatic transmission.  The luxurious car comes with three-row seats that accommodate spaciousness and comfort in the first two rows. The third row mostly suitable for little kids and the seats flip down easily. It also comes with a large cargo area that expands slightly immobilizing the second-row seats.

It has three trim levels such as the Standard, Technology and Advance and the AcuraWatch safety suite including all trims. For the basic standard trim, it comes with 18-inch wheels, heated side mirrors and front seat power liftgate, sunroof and keyless entry ignition. It also comes with a power-adjustable steering wheel, leather upholstery, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.

On the technology, the trim is added to a dual dashboard which has a seven-inch touchscreen. It includes 20-inch wheels, automatic wipers, a remote engine power and a color driver information display.

For the advance trim, it comes with front and rear parking sensors and LED light. It also features an automatic engine stop-start. It has a heated steering wheel with higher-end leather sports seats and air-conditioned front seats. The interior rounded with a natural would trim. The second row has captain seats that also come heated and with extra USB ports.

The AcuraWatch includes adaptive cruise control and forward collision warning with pedestrian detection. It also comes with automatic emergency breaking, a lane departure warning, and lane keeping assist system and prevention system.

The Acura MDX still excels with its versatility, refinement, and comfort whether the new or used. Overall, MDX provides the most satisfying and comfortable vehicle to drive when it comes to riding quality and seating condition.
