Samsung Galaxy Note 7: The Investigation and Apology

A part of the Korean conglomerate's year 2016 was not that good due to the negative feedbacks of their Galaxy Note 7 which is expected to be Samsung's best ever Smartphone. After from its released, there were reports of a fire or burn that started on the unit itself.

Just recently, Samsung just released an explanation on the unfortunate event that the users have experience with their phones. They have confirmed not just one battery issue, but there were two to blame.

The investigation took almost four months long. It was participated over 700 researchers and engineers to do some test and serious observation of over 200,000 Note 7 unit and 30,000 of its batteries. Later on, they have released a statement that they were able to check on the software as well as the hardware and other related processes and found out that the only problem with the situation is in the batteries.

Its first battery problem was related to the manufacturing of the original Note 7 batteries. The casing was just too small in its size to fit safely on the electrode assembly inside the unit which has led to the short-circuiting. The company hasn't named the third party company which is to blame for the said issue. But according to some reports, the conglomerate's SDI manufactured the batteries.

The second one is caused by the punctures that are in the thinnest element. It separates the electrode's positive and negative, as well as the faulty insulation. These second batches of batteries were provided by the Amperex Technology Ltd from Hongkong.

Last Sunday night, Samsung had a 50-minute running presentation that covers the explanation on the battery error investigation. It started things on a right note with the company's humble and sincere apology from the company's Mobile Communications Business President, Dongjin Koh stating, "First of all, we deeply apologize to all of the customers, carriers, retail, and placement partners. We trust that, as an initial step to recover your trust, it is critical to yield we with a consummate bargain of a means behind a Galaxy Note 7 incidents and to exercise an extensive device to take medicine measures."
