MacBook Pro Latest Update: More Upgrades And Improved Battery Life; Apple Increasing Shipment By 10 Percent

Reports are now circulating that Apple is set to launch upgrades to the MacBook family this year. Aside from the upgrades, the shipment volume for the 15-inch MacBook Pro is reportedly increased to 10 percent. Why is the Cupertino-based company confident to hit an increase in the sales of the MacBook lineup?

Following the refresh of MacBooks from last year, Apple is gearing up to launch more upgrades. You may want to think twice before purchasing the current MacBook Pro as the company is about to introduce a faster and more improved laptop soon. Popular analyst Ming-Chi Kuo from KGI Securities in Taiwan mentioned that the Cupertino-based company will introduce new variants of MacBook sporting the latest Intel Kaby Lake processors. This chipset is expected to enable the new laptop to perform in greater speed.

MacBook will have a 12-inch variant which is scheduled to begin production in the second quarter of 2017. Whereas, the MacBook Pro will also have new variants like the 13-inch and 15-inch versions, which are both scheduled to join the production line in the third quarter of this year.

The 15-inch MacBook Pro will also have another model sporting the 32GB of RAM. Apple is reportedly producing this variant for high-end users by the fourth quarter of this year, Tech2 reported.

According to Fudzilla, Apple is eyeing on increasing its shipment of the 15-inch MacBook Pro to 10 percent this year, despite the battery issues encountered when the new laptop was released last October 2016. The supply chain's latest report reveals that the manufacturer is shipping out 15 million units of MacBook and MacBook Pro this year, which is 1.5 million units more from last year's figures.

As previously reported, the current MacBook Pro had some issues on battery life. Analysts have aired their concerns regarding the new MacBook Pro and fortunately, Apple was quick to come up with a solution. Even Consumer Reports have vouched for the new MacBook Pro after the Cupertino-based company released the update to eliminate the battery issues.

With the latest Intel Kaby Lake processors in the upcoming 2017 MacBook Pros and improved battery life, Apple is confidently targeting a 10 percent increase in sales when the new laptop debuts this year. Are you excited to get hold of this faster 15-inch MacBook Pro?
