2017 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 One Of The Best Pickup Trucks For Being Amenity-Packed; Still It Needs More Improvement

The 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is making rounds for its amenity-packed features. It is also known to be a multitasking machine. However, there are still some much needed improvements to make the pickup a complete package. This way it will have the full thumbs up from car enthusiasts and critics.

According to Car and Driver, the pick up makes for one smooth ride, however, handling and braking are considered average. It also lacks the much needed new features as turbocharged engines or aluminum body. In spite of these shortcomings, Chevrolet finished second place in terms of sales.

The 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 has choices of between regular two-door, four-door, or crew cab configurations. All these configurations can come in either rear-wheel or four-wheel drive.

The trim levels also include Word Truck or WT, LS, Custom, LT, LTZ, and High Country. Power comes from three engines which are 285-hp 4.3-liter V-6, a 355-hp 5.3-liter V-8, or a 420-hp 6.2-liter V-8.

To make the pickup more fuel efficient, all three have EcoTec 3 and Active Fuel Management labels which turn off cylinders at times. This makes for a good development especially that fuel economy is one of the features buyers desire to have in their vehicles.

The seventh-generation truck was all-new in 2014 and was refreshed in 2015. For its updated and more modern look and feel, it also comes with new colors such as Jet Black and Medium Ash Gray in the High Country.

As earlier reported, the 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 can do much better in other aspects. Its tough competitor Ram fares better because of its coil or air sprung five-link suspension. Though it is fuel efficient as it already is, Ford's twin-turbo EcoBoost V-6 and Ram EcoDiesel are known to have better fuel economy.

As added by GM Authority, in spite of its areas for improvement, the 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 receives three new features. It does have an interesting Teen Driver Mode, Low-Speed Mitigation Braking as part of Enhanced Driving Alert package, and Chevrolet MyLink audio systems.

All vehicles are not created perfect. One can certainly outshine the other in more than one aspects. At the end of the day it all boils down to the buyer's choice. The 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is still considered a good option for it all.
