Subaru WRX 2017 Review: All-Wheel Drive Super Sedan!

The Subaru WRX 2017 is fun to drive with its turbocharged engine and sharp handling. It is also a fantastic-looking sport sedan.

Pros and Features. The WRX and STI both offer impressively quick acceleration. They have superb handling abilities and amazing steering responses. This is most evident when going around turns.

In addition, they now have enhanced traction from its standard all-wheel drive. Moreover, many premium safety equipment options are also available.

Cons. There is an above average degree of wind and road noise. The STI's aggressive suspension also makes for a rough ride. The interior of the Subaru's is also unimpressive.

What's New? The Subaru WRX 2017 receives reverse automatic braking. This is part of its optional EyeSight safety package. Additionally, all WRXs are now equipped with automatic headlights and auto-up window switches for the front windows.

Models. The WRX is only available as a sedan. The standard WRX is available in base, Premium and Limited. The WRX STI has a base and Limited model.

The WRX's base model comes with 17-inch wheels, a trunk-lid spoiler, cruise control, sporty front seats, and other tech features. The WRX Premium adds 18-inch wheels, fog lights, a sunhood, and special features for colder climates.

The WRX Limited models add an eight-way power driver seat and leather-trimmed upholstery. It also has LED low-beam headlights, keyless ignition and entry, as well as a 7-inch Starlink touchscreen.

The WRX STI base model has the same features as the WRX Premium minus the sunroof. It also adds a more powerful engine, front and rear limited-slip differentials, and Brembo brakes. It also has a more aggressively tuned suspension and driver-selectable modes for the center differential.

The STI Limited adds a sunroof and unique 18-inch BBS wheels. It also has a keyless ignition and entry, blind spot monitoring, and premium audio and navigation systems.

Pricing. The base WRX starts at $28,888 while the Premium has an MSRP of $30,794. The WRX Limited starts at $32,794. The WRX STI and Limited are available for $37,663 and $41,794, respectively.

Verdict. The Subaru WRX 2017 is a sporty and powerful car. While it has an ordinary interior, its magnificent exterior more than makes up for it. This car will definitely turn a lot of heads and give its driver a lot of fun on the road.
